The Uintah Basin Education Summit was held over the weekend and with it, the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year honorees were recognized. Uintah Schools Superintendent, Mark Dockins, recognized the teachers from each of the district’s schools. Those that were there in person to receive their rewards were Uintah Middle School Teacher of the Year Rebecca Rich, Eagle View Elementary Teacher of the Year Tina Daniels, Davis Elementary Teacher of the Year Staci Breakfield, Central Cove Preschool Teacher of the Year Erin Brown, Maeser Elementary Teacher of the Year Dawn Shafer, and Naples Elementary Teacher of the Year Marsha Perry. Unable to make the ceremony were Ashley Elementary Teacher of the Year Amber Severe, Discovery Elementary Teacher of the Year Mary Gata, Lapoint Elementary Teacher of the Year Becky Keddy, Vernal Middle School Teacher of the Year Kimberly Hawks, and Uintah High School Teacher of the Year Mary Moulton.
