The Uintah School Board announced on Friday their selection to fill the business administrator position for Uintah School District. Grant Stoddard is a local lawyer with Harrington Law who moved to Vernal in 2021. He taught as a History teacher in West Valley before attending law school at the University of Iowa where he graduated in 2018. He served as a clerk for a judge in Iowa before moving to Vernal to be near family. “We interviewed a number of highly qualified candidates who all expressed an interest in serving our district’s students, staff, and stakeholders,” shares Board President Dave Chivers. “Grant’s background, education, and experience stood out. We’re excited to have him join the district and look forward to working with him as a board.” Stoddard says his highest priority is to ensure District funds are appropriately managed. Stoddard’s appointment is not official until voted upon during the May 10th board meeting.
