A recent lockdown in Uintah School District once again brought up the topic of District/parent communication and a recent District announcement could be a gamechanger in the conversation. “The Uintah School District is developing a new website and mobile app to make communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders more effective and efficient,” shares the announcement. “The district began working with Apptegy last month to build the new site for the district and new sites for each of its schools, in addition to creating the mobile app.” Apptegy allows all communications to be created and sent from one centralized location meaning announcements can go out all at once. This includes “on the district or school websites and social media channels; as a push notification to the mobile app; and as an email, text message, and phone call.” The new website and app will go live on January 1st.
