Thankfully, there were no injuries to the students heading home on a Uintah School District bus on Friday that was hit from behind by another vehicle. According to the Uintah School District, the accident occurred at about 1:15 p.m. on August 30th when the bus driver slowed down to make a right-hand turn. “In addition to the driver, the bus was occupied by five Davis Elementary School students,” shares the announcement. “The crash happened at the intersection of State Road 45 and 5000 South. No one on the bus was hurt. Uintah School District Transportation Coordinator Mark Rich contacted the parents/guardians of the students who were on the bus to notify them about the crash.” Utah Highway Patrol determined that the bus had only minor damage and could safely finish its route. “A replacement bus driver was brought in, per protocol, and the five students were dropped off at their regular bus stops.”
