Uintah School District has announced that Uintah High School Assistant Principal Amanda Brown has been selected to serve as the school’s next principal, starting in the 2024-2025 school year. Superintendent Dr. Rick Woodford describes Brown as a servant leader. “She is thoughtful, empathetic, builds relationships, leads with quiet confidence, and finds solutions that take everyone’s position into consideration,” shares Woodford. “She has demonstrated a commitment to doing what is best for kids and staff.” Brown will succeed Principal Christy Nerdin, who is moving to the district office in July as the director of secondary education. Brown has worked for the Uintah School District since 2002. The Uintah School Board official vote is expected to take place during the board’s business meeting on May 8th.
