The governor’s shutdown has resulted in adjustment to athletics and Uintah School District is keeping the public informed. “The UHSAA Executive Committee has finalized plans for a tentative winter sports schedule,” shares Uintah School District. “If the governor does not extend the shutdown, all teams will resume practice on November 24th. The Thanksgiving moratorium is still in effect and will be November 26th through the 28th. This means that teams cannot practice during this time. Practice will resume November 30th, with competitions starting later in the week. Please know that the UHSAA staff and our district and school administrations are doing everything they can to get winter sports underway, but it is so important that the mask and social distancing requirements are followed if we are to return.” It will take everyone doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
