For those that attended Uintah High Theatre’s production of Anastasia it will come as no surprise that five Uintah High actors have been nominated for the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards for their performances. Joshua Ek received a nomination for Best Actor, Grace Christiansen received a nomination for Best Actress, Cade Marshall received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, Sarah Nielson received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress, and Kevin Haslem received a nomination for Best Cameo. Uintah Theatre director Chris Piner explains that these are preliminary awards. “Each production gets five nominations,” shares Piner. “At the end of the season in late March, the judges will look at all the nominations and create a [list of the] Top 10 in the state.”
