There are some changes coming to Uintah High School when it comes to sports. After a public hearing on Wednesday, December 5th, the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) Board of Trustees met and adopted new regions for 2019 through 2021. This will allow schools to organize and schedule sporting events with the new division alignment taking place in the fall of 2019. Now Uintah is part of Region 10 but still maintains a class 4A ranking. Some of the schools Uintah can expect to play in the new region for football are Mountain View, Ogden and Park City. For other sports Ogden, Cedar Valley and Tooele. One thing to be aware of is that UHSAA has now put in place a two year alignment period, rather than four years. This will allow the board to adjust more often as schools enrollments rise and fall.
