Uintah FFA is celebrating National FFA Week this week and they are inviting the community to get in on the action. During a radio interview on Eagle Country 105.5 KLCY, Uintah FFA Chapter President Scotlyn Williams explained what FFA is all about. “FFA is a student-led organization focused on growing leaders and preparing people for careers through the lens of agriculture,” explains Williams. “So we have lots of competitions [and] learn more about areas of agriculture and careers they can get into as well as supervised agriculture experience which are a personal experience for the kids to explore their interests.” For FFA week Monday was a service project, Tuesday is dress up as a plant, Wednesday is dress up in western gear, and Thursday is wear blue or gold and bring anything but a backpack to school. The community is encouraged to participate as well and are invited to post pictures to the Uintah FFA social media pages.
