The Uintah High School FFA Agronomy Team placed first at the State FFA Career Development Event which means the crew has earned the right to compete at nationals. Superintendent Mark Dockins recognized the students during this month’s school board meeting. “FFA contests are extremely competitive,” shares FFA advisor David Wilson. “None of our contests are prepared for during class time or during the school day.” Agronomy is one of 26 different FFA events that can be competed in. More than 25 teams competed in the state competition this fall. Congratulations to team members Karyn Speier, Devony Cook, Bradley Wilson, Jimmie McGuire, and Harleigh Bell. The National FFA Convention is being held in Indianapolis in 2018.
