It was a great day of fun and competition at the Special Olympics Snowshoe Invitational held over the weekend. The Uintah Dinos were prepared and competed well. A special element this year was that Shane Murray attended, not as an athlete, but instead as the new assistant coach to the team. This was the fourth year that the local Mason Lodge sponsored the athletes for the snowshoe invitational and it is something they love to help with each year. Mason Brett Reynolds shared that taking the group up to the competition is the best day of the year for him. “Brian Gorum and I are the luckiest guys in town to be able to once again spend a day of fun and laughter with these amazing athletes!!!” shared Reynolds. The Uintah Dinos will now switch gears and focus on preparing for their summer Special Olympics event in May at Uintah High School.
