Community members are mourning the loss of life after a fatal crash occurred early this week in the Whiterocks area. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched on September 2nd at approximately 8:40 pm to a traffic accident at 3000 North 4500 East on White Rocks Road. “When they arrived they located a vehicle that had gone off an embankment and rolled multiple times,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “The single occupant in the vehicle, a 17 year old male, was found deceased at the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling south on 4500 East when the accident occurred. For an unknown reason the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, the driver then over corrected coming back onto the road, causing the vehicle to go into a sideways slide before rolling multiple times down an embankment. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene.” The incident remains under investigation.
