Uintah County Sheriff’s Office Encourages All To Prepare For Winter Conditions

This month has been especially busy for the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office and that is in part due to people being unprepared for the winter weather conditions, especially while traveling. “It’s been nuts,” shares Chief Deputy Brian Fletcher. “There have been a lot of calls of motor assists and overdue parties. It is freezing cold so please make sure you have supplies in your vehicle in case something goes wrong. Be prepared.” Before traveling make sure wiper fluid and antifreeze are full. Have an emergency car kit that includes blankets, flashlights, and a heat source so you can handle conditions if an emergency happens. Also make sure someone knows your plans and when to expect your return and if possible, have a portable charger for your phone.
