If you’re looking for a chance to hear directly from the Uintah County Commission candidates, look no further. The Uintah County Republican Party is hosting a debate on Tuesday evening. There will first be a debate between Republican candidate Cole Kelley and unaffiliated candidate Jason Allen for the Utah State Board of Education District 12 election. This will be followed by the commissioner debate between Republican candidate Willis LeFevre and unaffiliated candidate Troy Slaugh for the Uintah County Commissioner Election. “Our community is facing many issues,” shares Uintah County Republican Party Chairman Kason Goodrich. “We want our voters to understand the positions of commissioner candidates. In addition to the commissioner race, we have a State school board race that will have a significant impact on our children. Come find out which candidates will represent the values of Uintah County best.” The debates are happening on September 17th starting at 6pm at the Uintah County Library.
