A Uintah County man was tragically killed just minutes from home on his return from a cross country trip on his motorcycle. Utah Highway Patrol reported that on Sunday night a Mazda traveling on Highway 40 turned and entered the path of a westbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital where he died and the occupants of the Mazda were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The motorcyclist was identified as 53-year-old Jason Lee Schultz. A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family under the name ‘Help Jason Schultz’s Family in Their Time of Need’. The page shares that Jason was returning home from the East Coast where he went to help his son, an active duty Army Servicemember, return to his duty station. It states that the funds raised will go towards the funeral and immediate expenses. It is also possible to make donations directly to Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
