A DUI arrest in Uintah County on Tuesday was especially serious as minors were also in the vehicle. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 28-year-old Deon Jordan Murray was pulled over for a traffic stop near 350 West and 400 North when the officer asked if Murray had been drinking. Murray replied by saying, “I did” and when asked how much he had to drink, Murray replied by saying, “Too much”. It was found that Murray’s license was suspended and the vehicle had no valid insurance. Following field sobriety testing, Murray was placed under arrest. He became resistant once in handcuffs and was transported to Uintah County Jail where he continued to refuse to comply with officer requests. Deon Murray was booked on the following charges: DUI with Minors in the Vehicle, Driving on a Suspended License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Refusing a Chemical Test, and Operating a Vehicle without Insurance.
