Our Uintah County Library is always in pursuit of tools and opportunities to enhance the lives of residents of the Basin. To continue in their goals of offering such opportunities, the library recently announced that they have entered into a partnership with Recorded Books to offer the area a program called Universal Class. This exciting service is an online continuing education resource with more then 500 courses available in over 30 subject areas. “We’re really excited to offer this lifelong learning service,” shares library director Sam Passey. “It will allow people with Uintah County Library Cards to take some amazing classes.” Universal Class offers courses in Arts and Music, Cooking, Pet and Animal Care, Entrepreneurship and Health just to name a few. The lessons feature professional instructors with videos, assignments, quizzes, tests and options for social media interaction. These classes can be accessed through the library’s website. “Whether you’re a business person, student, parent or just want to learn something new,” reiterates Passey, “this is a great resource.”
