Storms throughout the weekend resulted in downed trees, damaged property, some flooding, and power outages, especially in Uintah County. Rocky Mountain Power shared on Saturday that the storm activity caused severe damage to their infrastructure including an “overwhelming amount of downed lines, poles, and also fires” resulting in the need to call in additional crews to assist with restoration efforts. On Saturday afternoon the Rocky Mountain Power website showed over 1500 residences without power spread throughout Uintah County. By Sunday afternoon Rocky Mountain Power reported that there were still 50 residences without power. Rocky Mountain Power had outages caused by storms from as far as Casper, Wyoming and throughout eastern and northern Utah.
