The history of amateur radio goes back more than a century and Uintah County Emergency Management is offering a class to help you tap into that world. They will be hosting a free ham radio class on Wednesdays starting November 8th and running through December 13th. You can use this class to prepare to get your ham radio license. No need to sign up, just show up! It’s recommended you attend all 6 classes, but even if you can’t that’s ok! The manuals will be provided but you will need to pay for your licensing test at the end of the course to receive your ham radio license. The classes will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Uintah County EOC located at 641 E 300 S #375 in Vernal. Anyone is welcome to attend!
