Uintah County Emergency Management is inviting the public to provide some first hand knowledge. The Utah Division of Emergency Management is in the process of updating their State Hazard Mitigation Plan and they want to hear from the public. The announcement shares that the purpose of the survey is to “collect information from the public and stakeholders to better understand the risks and vulnerabilities within each area of the State as well as solicit input on needs to best mitigate or reduce the impacts of hazards before they occur.” The updated plan will reassess the state’s vulnerability to natural hazards and identify mitigation actions that can be taken to minimize property damage and improve safety prior to a hazardous event. Link to the survey through the Uintah County Emergency Management Facebook page. Visit www.hazards.utah.gov for project updates.
