Uintah County Election Information

The Municipal General Election is officially November 2nd but thanks to mail-in ballots your vote can be submitted much sooner. Ballots have begun to arrive in mail boxes in Uintah County where several elections are taking place. There are four candidates to choose from for 2 open Vernal City Council seats: incumbent Albert (Bert) Clark, incumbent Ted Robert Munford, and newcomers Robin L O’Driscoll and Corey Michael Foley. Vernal City Mayor is also on the ballot though there is no challenger for current Mayor Doug Hammond. There are four candidates to choose from for 2 open Naples City Council seats: incumbent Robert D. Hall, incumbent Dennis Long, Andrew Bentley, and Jessy McKee. Naples City Mayor is on the ballot with Stephanie C. Adams challenging current Mayor Dean A. Baker. Candidates running for the Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement District Board are Boyd Workman, Mike Davis, David L. Hatch, and Brownie Tomlinson. Candidates running for the Jensen Water Improvement District Board are Lucky Wall, Jake Wilkins, and Dusty Carpenter. The voter registration deadline is October 22nd. In person voting at the Uintah County building will take place on Election Day, November 2nd, and during Early Vote which runs October 19th through the 29th. Ballot drop boxes are available outside the Uintah County Library or Uintah County building.
