The Uintah County Commission approved the 2022 Uintah County budget last week. Commissioners unanimously approved a tentative budget of $59,293,198 dollars. When including American Rescue Plan Act funds the 2022 budget was listed at $61,268,172 dollars. Budget officer Mark Caldwell noted many items in the budget during the meeting. General funds were increased to fund the Accounting Services and Grants Department that will handle accounts payable and payroll for a total of $377,000 dollars. There was discussion about positions and budget items in the Clerk-Auditors Office as well as many other department budgets.
