The Uintah Conference Center continues to be a hotspot for professional and community events after nearly 10 years in service. Conference Center representative Derrick Jaramillo(Hawd-Ah-Me-Yo) gave a report on Tuesday to the Uintah County Commission, sharing that he regularly receives compliments about the building and the staff from out of town visitors to the conference center. In his report he stated that this year alone they have welcomed over 27,000 people to events that included 29 events in January, 23 events in February, 31 events in March, 32 events in April, and 31 events in May. The Uintah County Commission also discussed and approved an increase on the county’s insurance requirement form for the conference center to comply with changes in state law. This increases the amount of insurance required for those renting the conference center to $3.5 million dollars.
