After each having a fantastic season, the Uintah Ute boys and girls wrestling teams have come home from UVU in Orem as state champions. The boys team earned 296 points followed by Payson with 253 points and Wasatch with 234. The girls team earned 208.5 points followed by Cedar Valley with 181 and Springville with 171.5 points. This was the girls first state title and the boys third consecutive state title and 26th title in program history. For the boys, Michael Alexander and Gage Howard won individual titles. For the girls, Chanley Green, Emma Carri and Maddison Tenney won individual titles. Coach Patrick Sharp was named the 5A Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year by his peers.
