Uintah High Wrestling boys and girls teams swept the Tournament of Champions over the weekend in Vernal. Out of 30 teams that competed in the boys tournament, Uintah took 1st with 255.5 team points, Juab took 2nd with 207 team points, Payson took 3rd with 162 team points, and Meeker took 4th with 134 team points. On the Uintah wrestling team, Jaxon McCurdy, Christian Hartle and Caden Young each earned individual Tournament of Champions titles in their respective classifications. Ethan Sharp and Brody Rhoades placed 2nd and Michael Alexander and Mason Holt placed 3rd in their respective classifications. On the Union team, Tucker Roybal won an individual title. On the Altamont team, Dillon Ivie placed 2nd in his classification. Out of 18 teams that competed in the girls tournament, Uintah took 1st with 204.5 points, North Ridge took 2nd with 198 points, Union took 3rd with 136 points, and Duchesne took 4th with 124 points. On the Uintah girls team, Sadie Rhoades earned an individual title and Aidyn Sharp, Chanley Green, Sydnie Dick and Kambre Wilhelm placed 2nd in their respective classifications. Kenna McCauley, JennaCee Harrison and Madison Beckstead placed 3rd. On the Union team, Evie Davidson and Josie Prevedel won individual titles while Kabree Duncan placed 2nd and Dahlia Silva placed 3rd in their respective classifications. On the Duchesne team, Breann Ivie won an individual title while Ariana Jones and Abby Woods placed 2nd in their respective classifications.
