Tickets are now on sale for the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus Christmas concert. The Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus has been a local staple of the Christmas season since 2013. In 2012, the new Dean of USU Uintah Basin at the time, Dr. Boyd Edwards, had moved to Vernal and saw the potential for a community orchestra. As a violinist, he was a musician without a stage. As he connected with other local musicians, the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus was formed with USU Music Department Head, Dr. Michael Bankhead, stepping up as Artistic Director and Conductor. UBOC has been filling the Basin with beautiful music ever since. This year’s concerts are on December 7th at 2pm and 7pm at the Vernal Middle School Auditorium.
