Uintah Basin Healthcare held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 14th, that officially celebrated the opening of the Vernal Women’s Health Center. “Uintah Basin Healthcare has delivered as high as 700+ babies annually, with approximately 40% of those deliveries coming from Uintah County,” shared President and CEO of Uintah Basin Healthcare Jim Marshall. “Women’s Health for all ages and patient needs is an important focus. As part of our strategy and looking into the future, we have looked at how to better serve our patients and improve access close to home. We are very excited to open our new Vernal Women’s Health Center which offers a spa-like environment with a focus on the patient experience. We are honored to serve this community.” On staff is Dr. John Nolte, Dr. C. Scott Syndergaard and Dr. Ben Williams, all three board certified OB-GYN providers that have scheduled rotations between this and the Roosevelt Women’s Health Care. Also on full time staff at the center is Christy Thacker, a Family Nurse Practitioner with more then 25 years experience in Women’s Health. The Vernal Women’s Health Center is located at 475 North and
500 West on level two of the same building
as Urgent Care.
