Uintah Basin Healthcare is collaborating with Burdick Materials to offer free sandbags to the community and the sand to fill them. “With the snow still falling and with record-breaking levels, it’s important to be prepared for potential flooding,” shares UBH.
There are two pickup locations available. The first location is behind the Dialysis Building on the new Uintah Basin Healthcare Vernal Campus and the second location is behind the Villa in Roosevelt. Sandbags can be picked up 24/7 at the ER receptionist desks. The Vernal location is currently stocked with bags. The Roosevelt location will hopefully have bags arriving by today. There is a limit on the number of sandbags that are available for free. Uintah Basin Healthcare hopes that everyone stays safe and is looking forward to warmer weather ahead!
