Bringing a newborn baby into the world is always an exciting time but there’s something about being the first newborn of a new year that is cause for extra celebration. Uintah Basin Healthcare announced on Tuesday the arrival of the UBMC New Year’s Baby, a beautiful baby girl named Evelynn Kathleen Swasey. Evelynn’s proud parents are Cole and Tauzya Swasey. She was born on January 2nd at 10:16am at 6 pounds 5 ounces. The family received a special basket filled to the brim with gift cards and baby items from local businesses to congratulate them on their special arrival being the first baby born in the Uintah Basin Medical Center in 2024.
