Evans Family Media has officially acquired Duchesne County radio station’s KNEU and Jack FM. The FCC granted approval of the merger in December and the media company took possession of the Ballard station on January 3rd. “KNEU is Duchesne County’s heritage country radio station and it will remain classic country,” shares Evans Family Media owner Steve Evans. “Jack FM will also remain the same. By merging both companies, we will have more Human Resources to expand local features and community services. Autumn Hancock of Roosevelt will serve as customer and community relations director for our Roosevelt stations. She will also help manage and produce community oriented promotions. Delsa Warr, also of Duchesne County, will remain as office manager. Over the next several months,” continues Evans, “we will be adding more local features to improve the public’s listening experience with both platforms. I started my broadcast career over 40 years ago with Duchesne County’s KNEU. I love the station, format and the citizens of Duchesne County. Under my stewardship,” says Evans, “KNEU will always be Duchesne County proud.” This merger is a full circle moment for the Evans family as Joe Evans, Steve’s father, was the proud owner of KNEU and other stations for nearly 35 years.
