Tomorrow is the Jazz Night Dinner concert that is a fundraiser for Uintah High Band. “This is the 4th year of this fundraiser,” shares Uintah Band Director Brian Gibson. “It is the Wednesday after Valentine’s Day every year. It is my hope that it will grow to the point that it is the only fundraiser we have to do every year. If you just come for the music there will be a dance floor as well. Bring a date and come dance with us. This fundraiser by design is not for the Hawaii trip. But it helps fund the regular program so other monies can go towards Hawaii. We are also selling chocolate right now. We should sell out by the end of February. So find a band or orchestra student and get some while it’s available,” explains Gibson. Unfortunately, dinner tickets are no longer available as they needed to get the food ordered. That said there are still ways to enjoy the concert and support the band. Individuals can go to the concert only, forgoing dinner, for $10.00 dollars per person. If individuals cannot attend they can have a virtual concert, a video recording on a flash drive and a coupon card that will be $25.00 dollars. Those will be delivered a few weeks after the concert. The concert will be Wednesday, February 17th, starting at 6pm at the Uintah Conference Center.
