by | Mar 13, 2025 | News | 0 comments

Another Uintah High School athletic record has been broken, this time by a member of the track and field team. Gideon Owen broke the school record in the Discus at the Red Rock Invite in Moab with a throw of 149 feet and 5.5 inches. The previous record stood for 38 years having been set by Steve Nawahine in 1987 with a throw of 146 feet 2 inches. Congratulations to Gideon Owen on setting a new school record in the Discus. Spring sports are in full swing and more great things are expected from the hard working athletes throughout the Uintah Basin.
