Uintah School District announced that three Uintah High Technology Student Association leaders recently returned victorious from their state conference in Provo. Lois Lyman, Tommy Cruz IV, and Elspeth Montague took 2nd place with their entry in Board Game Design, culminating months of hard work. Cruz also placed 1st in the grueling 3-hour CAD-Engineering session. “It was a fantastic showing,” shares Uintah High teacher Joseph Woodard. “Way to represent our school so well!” These three amazing students are raising money now to attend the national competition in Nashville this summer. The trio’s board game is a Robin Hood-style robbery game where players race to collect gold and escape an evil bank. They created all the graphics for the box and board and 3D printed all the parts. The group is raising funds to compete at the National TSA Conference. If you would like to donate or learn more about how you can support them, reach out to (435) 219-5021 or elspethm503@gmail.com.
