A major UDOT project is affecting plans for travelers on Highway 40 at the I-80 intersection. The Utah Department of Transportation recommends drivers plan ahead for the long-term freeway ramp closure in Park City. Westbound Highway 40 is closed at the westbound I-80 ramp. It closed on September 15th and is expected to remain closed for up to 21 days for the repaving work. “During this time, crews will excavate the area, import new road base and pave the ramp that connects westbound US-40 and I-80,” shares UDOT. “Motorists can still access westbound I-80 by proceeding to the signalized intersection on US-40.” Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change and it is recommended that travelers plan for delays.
