The season of road construction is here and the Uintah Basin will have its share of orange cones and barrels. Among the projects underway in Region 3 is the passing lanes being installed between Bridgeland and Myton. The project is aimed at improving safety and mobility by constructing a passing lane on Highway 40 in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Other safety improvements include shoulder widening and side slope grading. The existing pavement will be rotomilled and overlayed with fresh asphalt between Antelope Creek to the Duchesne River. Construction started in April and is scheduled to be complete in October. The project value is $13.3 million dollars.
