A road project of high community interest is about to get underway in Uintah County. 2000 East is the road that goes by Dinaland Golf Course and connects several neighborhoods to Naples Elementary and the Naples City Park. Public meetings were held in 2021 to gather input on how best to utilize the $1.5 million dollars in UDOT grant funding on the busy stretch of road and ultimately the Naples City Council decided to widen the road to include 5 foot shoulders. The improvements will run roughly from 800 South to 1700 South. Work will begin this month with the construction really getting underway once the snow melts.
