It’s always onward and upward with UBTech helping connect community members with education and workforce opportunities. Their latest offering came in response to employer requests for workforce soft-skills training and as a result, UBTech is launching The Workforce Promise which ensures that students gain soft-skills training in 8 areas like communication, teamwork, and professionalism. Students will complete an optional online course covering eight soft-skill areas and can list “Workforce Promise Graduate” on their resume, signaling to employers they’ve received this training. Employers are invited to become a Workforce Promise supporter, pledging to offer interviews to qualified UBTech graduates who’ve completed the training. The program kicks off this week in conjunction with the UBTech Hire Me job fair on October 23rd on the Vernal UBTech campus at noon.
