Uintah Basin Technical College will have a scholarship opportunity for students working to get their certification for Security Technician, Network Technician, and IT Support Technician. This special scholarship is made possible by the Les Olson Company in honor of Matt Olson who passed away. Les Olson Company is a family owned business that supports higher education and several agencies, programs and treatment facilities in local communities that provide help to people who are in need of mental and behavioral health support. To honor Matt’s memory the company wants to honor his vision and work to build an IT department. Scot Olson says it this way: “He knew that offering managed IT services and hardware would complement our business model really, really well. He and Keith Adams built that department from nothing. Now we have 60 people from sales, service, and support in our IT division.”
