A group of talented UBTech Titans came home this summer from the National SkillsUSA competition in Georgia with 7 national medalists, a new record! Brianne Bird won Gold in Medical Assisting as a high school student, Strayden Olsen won Gold in Welding, Katie Hartle won Silver in Practical Nursing, Ayden Stratz won Silver in Motorcycle Service Technology, Harlie Darbro won Bronze in Medical Assisting as a post-secondary student, Dmitry Simmons won Bronze in Information Technology Services, and Ronald Salguero won Bronze in Automotive Service Technology. UBTech sent 23 state gold medalists to represent Utah in their skill categories. “This year was particularly notable for UBTech as they upheld their impressive streak of producing national medalists, a tradition that has been ongoing since 2017,” said UBTech President Aaron Weight.
