Coyote Tanks and UBTech have announced a partnership to support welding students as well as workforce development. Coyote Tanks is a welding fabrication company headquartered in Vernal since 2011 that produces storage tanks for the oil and gas industry along with associated components such as stairs, walkways, and tank heaters. According to the press release from UBTech, one of the most significant aspects of this collaboration is the establishment of scholarships exclusively for UBTech welding students, as well as contributing materials and supplies that will enrich the hands-on training experience for students. “Our partnership with UBTech aims to bridge the gap between education and industry by leveraging the welding program’s graduates to meet our workforce requirements,” shares President of Coyote Tanks, Doug Reynolds. UBTech Welding Instructor Chandler Vincent explained that this partnership extends beyond financial support as Reynolds’ will be actively engaging with students, sharing insights and hands-on welding techniques. Reynolds plans to be involved in the classroom, even showcasing skills that directly apply to the demands of Coyote Tanks and nurturing talent that meets industry standards.
