TriCounty Transmission Levels Remain Same

The state announced Thursday that counties in the TriCounty Health District will remain at the same COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels. That means that Uintah County and Duchesne County remain at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County remains at the Low Transmission Level. According to a press release from TriCounty Health, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 16 percent and there were 197 cases in the past 14 days. Duchesne County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 15 percent and there were 64 cases in the past 14 days. Daggett County remained at zero percent and zero cases. Over the past 7 days the tri-county area as a whole had 9 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and one new COVID-19 related death. TriCounty Health also shared that for the purpose of this report, cases within the Ute Indian Tribe contributed to the rate for the county where the individual resides.
