What’s the status on Harmful Algal Blooms in northeastern Utah? TriCounty Health Department provided the following update on Tuesday: The bloom at Starvation Reservoir appears to be dispersing and is no longer concentrated at the main boat ramp. It has not affected the drinking water coming from the treatment plant. Official lab results are expected within a few days. A Danger Advisory is still in effect at Matt Warner Reservoir and the lake remains closed to swimming, boating, and fishing. A Warning Advisory is still in effect at Calder Reservoir. No swimming allowed and all are asked to use caution when boating or fishing. TriCounty Health received a report of a possible bloom on Big Sandwash Reservoir last week. They did not find any signs of a bloom but will continue to monitor it. Other water bodies that have not shown signs of a bloom but are being monitored include Flaming Gorge, Red Fleet, Steinaker, Montes Creek, and Cottonwood.
