TriCounty Health Department COVID-19 Update

TriCounty Health Officer Jordan Mathis visited the Eagle Country 105.5 FM studio on Tuesday to deliver the weekly Give’m Health update on COVID-19. Mathis shared that the TriCounty Health District is still holding in a good pattern and it is hoped that it will continue to do so. Because things are trending in a good direction it is anticipated the Governor will lesson some restrictions starting May 1st. Mathis recommends every individual and business owner visit coronavirus.utah.gov and learn about the Utah Leads Together 2.0 plan. “That is going to be our guiding document moving forward in our response to COVID-19 and it has guidance in there for individuals and businesses,” explains Mathis. The plan is like a dial that can be slowly moved back from the present label of Red to Orange, Yellow, and eventually Green and it is currently anticipated that the Governor will soon change the status from Red to Orange. Mathis recommends visiting the website to learn exactly what that means but the following are a few things to note: Face coverings are not going away and all are still asked to continue using face coverings in public. Moving to Orange means there will be allowable gatherings of up to 20 individuals though spacing recommendations still apply. Perhaps the biggest change is that the public will be allowed to dine inside restaurants, with certain guidelines in place. Get the full details on Utah Leads Together 2.0 at coronavirus.utah.gov
