TriCounty Health Department has amended the local travel advisory. They released the following on Friday afternoon: “Effective Saturday, May 16, 2020, TriCounty Health Department amends its travel advisory, which was issued on March 15, 2020, to adhere to the Utah Leads Together phased health guidelines. The amended advisory does not advise against in-state travel. All residents of Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties are asked to limit out-of-state travel and quarantine for 14 days upon return from high-risk areas, TriCounty Health Department strongly advises those who choose to travel within the state of Utah to adhere to social distancing guidelines and other mitigation guidelines, such as wearing face coverings while in public. TriCounty Health Department asks residents to strongly reconsider any travel that would unnecessarily take them into areas with widespread community transmission of COVID-19. The advisory serves to limit unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 while traveling and adhering to the advisory will help continue to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout the state and decrease its impact on Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties.”
