The Tribal and Rural Opioid Initiative Resource Center has organized a community walk taking place this month and the community is invited to participate. The event is taking place November 15th at the Constitution Park Walking Path in Roosevelt. Sign in for the free walk, design a luminary to honor someone lost to opioid overdose, receive a naloxone training session and a free naloxone kit. Opening ceremonies will include traditional hand drum songs followed by time to walk the path while placing your luminary. There will be a moment of silence along the lighted path in honor of those lost to overdose and at the end you can take your luminary with you when done walking. The event runs from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
