Representatives from the Trails Committee presented to the Vernal City Council last week on the Ashley Valley and Uintah County Trails Master Plan. The first copy of the master trail map was reviewed. The map includes all types of trails including hiking, biking, OHV, and equestrian, with locations throughout Uintah County, explains Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. Public meetings were held earlier this year as projects were identified as possible trails, expansions, and in-town routes. When members of the Trails Committee presented in the early fall, they even outlined proposed downtown connectivity routes. The latest version of the Trails Master Plan will be made available to the public in January for comments and recommendations.
