The possibility of a speeding ticket quickly escalated to serious charges for a driver in Uintah County last week. On July 18th, 39-year-old Joshua Michael Dover was pulled over for speeding. As the officer approached the vehicle the odor of marijuana was detected. While Dover initially denied possessing any illegal substances, inside the vehicle the officer found marijuana in the vehicle’s center console and a baggie of methamphetamine in the driver’s door. Dover admitted that both drugs belonged to him. Dover is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Endangerment of a Child because his young daughter was inside the vehicle and had access to the illegal substances. He is also charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding.
