A boil order is in place after a main water line breach in Rangely. The Town of Rangely has shared a Drinking Water Warning stating that on May 4th, a main water line was breached causing the drinking water system to experience pressure loss possibly resulting in contamination entering the system. “Since the loss of pressure in the distribution system may allow disease-causing organisms to enter the water system, as a precaution, we are asking all users to not drink the water,” shares the announcement from the Town of Rangely. Due to the line breach the main line was depressurized and needed sanitized. The lines were expected to be ready and pressurized again on May 5th but regardless, the boil order remains in effect.
