As of Monday evening, there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the TriCounty Health District. In fact, the case added on Sunday that brought the total in the Uintah Basin to 11 was a mistake. TriCounty Health Department corrected the numbers on their Situational Report on Monday, adjusting Duchesne County from 5 total cases back down to 4 after it was learned that the most recent case is actually a person whose primary resident is listed with the state as Duchesne County but who actually resides full time for now in another county. When asked for clarification on Monday, TriCounty Health shared that this person is isolating and living in a county in another part of the state. Once that was confirmed, it was removed from the Duchesne County total. Monday night’s Situational Update page showed that not only is there 1 Recovered case in Uintah County but there is also now 1 Recovered case in Duchesne County. Also the estimated tests conducted in the Tri-County area reached 701. It’s also worth noting that getting tested for COVID-19 in the Uintah Basin has gotten much easier and it is FREE. Just visit testutah.com to fill out a questionnaire and qualify for a QR code. An appointment time will be scheduled at one of two Uintah Basin testing locations.
