Utah State University will be having their monthly Uintah Basin Speaker Series tonight and the speaker is Vernal resident Wes Porter, the Utah Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Accelerator Director. Porter also serves as an officer in the Utah Army National Guard. He will be speaking on Inclusive Leadership. As the EDI Accelerator Director for the state of Utah, Porter is Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of human resource strategies to increase and advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and access initiatives within Utah state government. He has over 15 years of experience in leadership roles within complex operations in the U.S. and internationally. Some of his experience was gained by working in highly charged, mission-critical military programs including humanitarian relief efforts and wartime operations. His presentation will be today at 7pm at the USU Vernal Campus in room B101.
